the best thing was the peace and quiet, even while the dico party was going on. fairly easy to find from either direction.
lack of choice on menu at evening meal.
Very comfortable beds. Excellent value for money. Well positioned for Gatwick airport or in our case getting to Brighton within 30 minutes. The outdoor pool looked very inviting but it was a pity that traffic delayed our arrival so it was too late for a swim.
What a warm welcome !!! such lovely, competent staff !!! Thank you to all the working persons at "The Regency" ... we really felt home and will come back !!!
Staff very helpful. Rural location & very good value .
Pool needed cleaning.
Location, it's close to Gatwick and is very reasonably priced, very peacefull surroundings. The staff were very friendly and pleasant. The breakfast was very good but a little overpriced.
The room was clean but tired looking, an old building which could do with updating.
Good car-parking and easy access to m23
Room was a tripple not a quad that we bookd and a bit small.
Well, I really should have taken a dip in the pool!! Shower was good, room was pretty clean and tidy and comfortable enough.
Breakfast was ok, but a touch on greasy side and staff could have done with a little more enthusiasm and warmth.
The only down side was finding a a 46 ddd bra under the chair in my Mom's room a week after it had been occupied for a party
The staff did not explain any of the hotel features. I was simply given a key and told where my room was. There was no mention of dinner times. The room was basic as I had expected, however the room was incredibly noisy with clanging pipework and every movement in adjacent rooms could be heard. The doors in the corridors slammed at every opportunity.
The hotel was well placed and the price for just a room was reasonable.
The room stayed in was in need of some re-decoration. The carpet was not in good condition and the gripper was exposed in the doorway between the en-suite and bedroom. The smoke alarm was covered in cling-film! I would recommend the hotel as the staff were polite and accommodating; it was just needing some tlc!
The hotel is very oldy wordly and set in lovely grounds, with plenty of parking facilities. The service was execellent and I was made very welcome. I would recommend this hotel for business, leisure or any reason.I Will certainly use this hotel again.
Nice location, however evening menu very limited for choice, problems with WiFi during my short stay hindered my ability to work in the evening. Nice calm location close to M23 is a bonus.
Limited menu and WiFi problems
The hotel was in a quiet and peacefull location. Although full there was no noise etc. I was walking/backpacking so did not want an expensive hotel. Although the hotel was a little tired in some areas, what do you expect for the price paid, the hotel was clean and the staff were helpfull and nothing was too much trouble. They even let me leave the car there the next day when we went walking for several hours. I looked at pubs and hotels nearby for evening meal but decided to stay at the Regency. It was far cheaper and food equivalent. i will look to stay there again when next in area.
The location was excellent - close to Gatwick airport yet in the middle of the countryside, approached by a leafy lane. The hotel was 'individual', with beams (not sure if they were genuine!), low ceilings and diamond paned windows. Staff were friendly.
The rooms were quite noisy - I could hear every footstep from the people above my room. Bathrooms were a little dated. I was also under the impression that I could leave my car in the car park for free, but was charged £15 for this.
